Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a life-changing experience of ‘the love of God poured out into your heart through the Holy Spirit’(Romans5:5). St. Monica’s Prayer Group makes available this opportunity to you. It is your conscious release of the graces you received at your Baptism and Confirmation. You can receive this gift in different ways such as during personal prayer, hearing and reading testimonies of others, and in groups. People request Baptism in the Spirit after they see the changes in people at the prayer meeting. Following some preparation members of the meeting will pray over the recipient. Changes can be both immediate and gradual. Many receive a deeper awareness of God’s love for them. Some people spontaneously praise God, cry tears of joy or repentance. Some people receive strength to resist sinful tendencies and addictions. Some desire to heal relationships. People testify to a new zeal for worship, the Scriptures, the Sacraments, the Church. It is wonderful to experience this release of the Holy Spirit who has been in you since Baptism and Confirmation.
